Construction Metalworker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Metalworker to join our team. As a Construction Metalworker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements.
• Fabricate metal components using various tools and machinery such as welding equipment, saws, and grinders.
• Assemble fabricated parts to construct metal structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Perform welding, cutting, and shaping of metal pieces to achieve desired dimensions and shapes.
• Inspect finished structures and components for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Metalworker or similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and equipment.
• Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
• Certification in welding or metalworking is preferred.
