Industrial painter

Job Description

As a construction painter / preserver, you will be safely coating industrial products and constructions. You will treat the surfaces of industrial metal constructions and thereby maximally protect these against early degradation or corrosion by first preparing the surface. You will work in accordance with job tickets, whereby material choice, thickness and composition have been determined. The finishing layer is applied with a brush and/or roller and you will organise a final inspection once your work has been completed.

Tasks:
-You will correctly and safely use machines, equipment, dyes and other (hazardous) substances;
-You will independently carry out interim quality inspections;
-You will always make sure the workplace is left clean and tidy after completion of your activities;
-You will strictly abide by the prescribed (work) procedures and will carry out the work in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and legal guidelines.

The construction painter / preserver will be working at various different customer sites. Experience with, and knowledge of, appropriate protective measures is of major importance, as the work will involve chemicals.

Skills:
-A few years of experience as a construction painter / preserver;
-In possession of a valid VCA certificate or prepared to achieve this in the short term;
-Able to work both independently, as well as being an effective part of a team.
-Good physical condition;
-No fear of heights;
-Good communication skills in English;
- Driver’s license B
